The FAQ of Domapartment***Cologne City. Find answers of frequently asked questions. Do you have any additional questions? We will gladly answer your personal questions by phone or e.mail.


When are the opening hours of the reception?

 

Weekdays our reception times are 9 am until 7 pm, and 10 am until 7 pm on weekends. We also offer a 24 hour check-in service.


Do you need to Check-In later than 7 pm? Please let us know about when you book the apartment. We will get back in touch with you to arrange the details of your late Check-In.

What are the check-in and check-out times?


Check-In Cologne: 3 pm to 7 pm

Check-Out Cologne: 11 am

 

Check-In Troisdorf: 3 pm to 6 pm

Check-Out Troisdorf: 11 am


An earlier Check-In or late Check-Out is possible upon request and availability.
Charges may be applicable.

Of course you can leave your luggage with us if you arrive early or plan to leave later than 11 am.

Are the apartments quiet and is there noise from the street or traffic noise?

The apartments are centrally located in the heart of Cologne's Old Town, close to the main train station and urban neighbourhoods of the city center. Due to this central locations there is usual urban traffic.

 

Although many shops and restaurants are just around the corner, the apartments are located comparatively quiet.

Can I rent a parking lot and how much does parking cost?


We provide private parking-lots on site. A parking costs EUR 12 per day.

A reservation is required.

How do I get from the airport / from the main station to the reception?


From Cologne/Bonn Airport the railway train "S13" and regional trains connect the airport in about 13 minutes with the main train station.

 

Trains in direction of Cologne Main Station depart at the airport train terminal from platforms 1 & 2. Weekdays every 20 minutes. On weekends every 20 minutes.

A oneway ticket (Price code 1b) amounts EUR 2,70.


Take the rear exit „Breslauer Platz", walk about 100 meter straight ahead in direction of the roundabout traffic and cross it. There Johannisstrasse begins. After 50 meters you will reach our reception on the left side of the road.

 

By taxi it takes approximately 25 minutes from/to the airport.

The fare amounts around EUR 30.-

 

On request we arrange an airport shuttle for you.

How do I get to the fair (KoelnMesse)?

The Cologne Trade Fair can be easily reached by train from the central station.

All trains leaving from platform 10 will take you to "Köln Messe Deutz".

It's just 1 stop and 2 minutes travel time.


Alternatively you can walk across the train bridge. From the main station it will take you around 15 minutes.

Close to the Hohenzollern Bridge there is also a passenger ferry available!

Is smoking allowed in the apartments?


No it is not allowed to smoke in the apartments & studios. All apartments & studios are non-smoking areas! Please respect!

Do you offer a breakfast service?

All apartments are equiped with a kitchen or kitchenette and kitchen equipment for self-catering. In the apartments neighbourhood you will find supermarkets.

 

For our guests in the studios & apartments at Domstrasse, Eigelstein and Bechergasse we can arrange a breakfast service in selected hotels of the neighbourhood.

Is it possible to book an extra bed or a baby crib?


In some apartments and upon request extra beds and/or baby cribs are available.

All children aged under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing beds. One child aged under 2 years stays free of charge in baby crib.

One older child or adult is charged EUR 27.50 per person per night in an extra bed.

Any type of extra bed or baby crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by Domapartment***Cologne City.
